Industrial Energy Audit Process

PruNergy will carry out a detailed study of your utilities consumption (electricity, gas, water) through an on-site inspection using “state of the art” equipment that evaluates all aspects of the facility including: Lighting, HVAC controls, and Heavy and Medium energy consuming Machineries / Equipment’s. We would also evaluate the possibility of installing & utilizing renewable energy sources.

We follow the best in standards (ASHRAE)

Once the on-site assessment is performed and relevant data collected and analyzed, a detailed report prioritizing energy conservation measures with quantifiable cost savings analysis and return on investment for each recommendation will be made.

An Industrial/Plant energy audit is necessary as it will provide a strategic roadmap to minimize operating expenses & reduce energy costs.

Our energy audits & proven optimization methods deliver a reduced carbon footprint resulting in both direct & indirect savings.

A right sized energy audit will provide the right balance between cost and benefits from the audit which should be the sole consideration when deciding on the type of audit that is to be carried out.

PruNergy bases its Energy Audit program on The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers’ (ASHRAE) standard which are considered as global industry benchmarks.

  • BASIC AUDIT
  • ADVANCED AUDIT
  • COMPREHENSIVE AUDIT
  • ASHRAE Level 1 - Basic Audit

The ASHRAE Level 1 Audit focuses on low-cost/no-cost energy conservation measures, and provides a list of higher cost energy saving suggestions.

In addition to tasks performed in the Overview Audit, the ASHRAE Level 1 audit report describes how much energy and financial savings can be achieved by implementing each energy conservation opportunity.

If there are energy improvement potential, options may include performing a Level 2 Energy Audit which may also be coupled with LEED-EBOM or ENERGY STAR services.

  • ASHRAE Level 2 - Advanced Audit

ASHRAE Level 2 audits both identify all appropriate energy conservation measures and provide financial analysis based on implementation costs, operating costs, and attainable savings.

A report will outline each energy conservation measure and detail its savings, cost, and time for return on investment. In addition, ASHRAE Level 2 audits will specify any changes to operations and maintenance procedures.

  • ASHRAE Level 3 - Comprehensive Audit

Engineering or Investment Grade audits, which are also known as ASHRAE Level 3 audits is rarely recommended. While it does provide the maximum accuracy, this accuracy comes at a cost.

Engineering energy audits are extremely expensive due to the elaborate processes and extent of work they require.
